Printing Lineflow Payslips with MYOB 29/03/2010
In their wisdom, MYOB have decided to remove the ability from their payroll to print to 16 bit printer drivers. Unfortunately, this means that those clients who use MYOB and the slim, lineflow payslips have real problems. The need to do this was to comply with Windows 7 requirements, which must begger the question, who is more important, Microsoft or their Customers? Lineflow printing is still an option but you have to use Windows, or 32 bit, printer drivers, which may, or may not allow you to select the correct page length, width or character size. MYOB's solution to the problem is to buy their new, A4 size, lineflow payslips, which seems an awful waste of paper considering how small it has been in the past. Other payroll software providers such as IMS, PayGlobal and SmoothPay all continue to provide the option to print to the slim lineflow payslips, which must show that they view their customers as more important than Microsoft....good on them!
